Innovation is key to OWL being successful along with our main aim to simplify online learning experiences. We've been hard at work over the past few months adapting the platform to stay inline with major industry changes and It's exciting to share our progress on new features.
OWL supports new frameworks.
With major sector changes comes a whole new section on OWL to manage learners currently enrolled on a new framework apprenticeship. We have taken a unique approach to new frameworks. We allow assessors to gather evidence for core requirements in the qualification, the knowledge, behaviours & skills then list them in a matrix format. Along with supporting the ability to record 20% off the job hours, create reviews, assessment plans, then the creation of a summative portfolio for end-point assessment plus much more. OWL has every feature required to successfully used as an ePortfolio on the new apprenticeship standards for learners from today!
We've given the resources section a refresh. To upload and share resources with specific staff or learners can now be done with a simple drag and drop to upload then a click of a button to make it visible to whoever.
OWL now makes it easier than ever to contact a single learner or a group dependent on your needs. You can now filter via staff, courses enrolled on, current progress and funder. You can mass contact learners by SMS, email or both depending on what the learner has set their main communication method as. There's an audit trail for all contact made with learners, this can be downloaded via reports or viewable online as contact log per learner.
There's plenty of smaller updates you may have noticed on OWL. These include;
